Lion King Preformace in South Africa
This article talks about the performance of the Lion King that will be held in south Africa. Found at this site: http://allafrica.com/stories/200704120370.html
The musical is supposed to debut on June 6th. This was written by Tim Rice and Elton John. It has been seen all around the world & on Broadway.
I think that it is very cool to have the Lion King Musical be held in South Africa (for the first time). I have seen this musical it is very cool I could watch it more than once.

Fruit could curb Ugandan poverty
An article of fruits in Unganda(includes a photo)
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6549609.stm
This bbc article tells about why 100 farmers began planting apples instead of tomatoes and passion fruit. The price between apples and the other fruits are unbelievable, an apple can be sold for $150.
I like this article because it gives a few photos so I can understand easier. It tells about the hopes of farmers and the advantage of growing apples. It helps me understand more about what is recently happening around Uganda.

This article is about South Africa and the comparison about the rich people and the poor people. The really poor people are litterally really poor and they have to share a little shack and have trouble in eating. I mean, EATING TO LIVE. That is really sad.
We all think that our life really sucks and it can't get much worse. Trust me, it can. I think this article taught me a big lesson.

Africa CD Activity Reflection
While we were working on the different missions (trips) I noticed that on the map the items were rated in order from 1-10. (1 most produced 10 lowest of the top ten) If you landed in the countries that had higher numbers you were given more points. Also the higher numbers (like 1 2 and 3) were more spread out around Africa on some of the crops.
